Make Sure Everything Is in Order
Before you get solar panels installed in your home, make sure that everything is in order. Since they are going to be on the roof, you will have to ensure that the roof is strong and sturdy enough to take the additional weight of these panels. Moreover, you might need a license, certification or permission from local authorities and homeowner associations prior to installation. Without these, you might not be able to have a solar power system fitted in your home.
Sun Time?
Getting a solar power system helps you save money but how much also depends on where you are situated. For example, if you are in an area where the sun doesn’t shine much, your solar power system might not make as much solar energy that you need to live off the grid.
In some cases, it might not even be a good idea to opt for a solar panel system if you don’t get much sunlight. On the other hand, if you’re getting a good 7-8 hours of strong sunlight, you should definitely opt for a solar panel system. Aside from producing a good amount of renewable energy, it will also be a better investment in the long run.
